Half Day – Friday 2nd June

School will close at 12 midday for ALL PUPILS on Friday 2nd June as the staff have a mandatory curriculum planning half day day. Parents of Junior Infants may arrive at 11.50am and Miss McCann will bring pupils out earlier to avoid the congestion. Please note: There are 3 mandatory curriculum planning half days per year where pupils will finish at 12 midday – usually one per term.

Whole School Evaluation Report

The first week in February we were visited by a team of three inspectors from the Department of Education and Skills, tasked with conducting a Whole School Evaluation. Thank you to all parents who completed the questionnaires and for the parents from the PA who agreed to meet with the Inspector. The report from the Inspectorate has now been published and we are delighted with the very positive and affirming.

Active Schools Week – Motivational Monday Round-Up

Welcome back to the new school term! What a brilliant first day launching our Active Schools Week! We were delighted to welcome parents, Oonagh and Keith Garry who spoke to pupils from 3rd-6th classes about their experiences with their swimming challenges. Fencing on Friday!

Dundalk Fencing Club is looking to start Fencing classes after school. They will be holding a free demonstration and open day for parents and pupils on Friday at 2.40pm. Two pupils from St Francis NS won bronze and silver medals in Belfast this weekend at the national championships (well done to the Blanchets!) and will be demonstrating their skills as part of the event.
