Science Week 2019

Science Week 2019 took place from the 11th-15th November.  Throughout the week, pupils from all classes got to take part in science related activties, some of which involved them going to DKIT.

On Monday, pupils from our 6th Class facilitated Science stations, where they taught a variety of experiments to their fellow pupils.  There was a wide range of experiments, which varied according to the age of the children.  The experiments included: The bubble experiment, dancing raisins, storm in a glass, static electricity and friction marble run to name a few.  6th class pupils researched these topics prior to the science fair for their homework.  In addition to this, on Wednesday and Thursday, pupils from 5th and 6th Class got the opportunity to go to DKIT to take part in a variety of shows.

3rd, 4th and 5th Class were taught by 6th Class to use the building software ‘TinkerCad’ All of the children had a great time designing their own wind turbines!  In all classes, other experiments were conducted and there was lots of enjoyment!  All children thoroughly enjoyed the fair and showed great enthusiasm throughout the week.  We are looking forward to next year already!
